Title: Operations Capability Co-ordinator

Reporting line: IWS Manager

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath

Role type: Full time – Permanent


As a member of the Operations department the Operations Capability Co-ordinator will have full responsibility for all IWS Training (Step Up Cards, shop floor DMS training support, E&T Pillar support, Papaya tracking, EO support), IWS KPI tracking across the Manufacturing site, IWS standards management & IWS induction training. The candidate will be responsible for the financial budget set within the specified areas. The ultimate goal is to help & support the site on delivering a HPO (High Performance Organisation) through the building of staff capability across all shifts. 


The candidate must be flexible enough to cover all shift patterns and weekends to capture all working shifts within the plant. They must also have an open mind to all aspects of training and the upskilling of new techniques & IWS tools.


Responsibilities include:


Health & Safety

Understand the Tayto Snacks EHS Policy, Company Safety Rules and Statutory requirements applying to all operations within the specified line of responsibility. A “Safety First” mindset is essential.

Participate in H-BOS’s across the site

Deliver on agreed H&S KPIs for your Section. Ensure that all near misses and accidents are reported and investigated within appropriate time frames.


Technical

Ensure that all products meet or exceed the agreed customer specification and quality standards.

Participate in Q-BOS’s across the site

Assist in the co-ordination of external customer visits and internal audits.

Full accountability for technical KPIs ensuring that the company targets are achieved and appropriate actions to resolve issues are taken, specifically in relation to Autonomous Maintenance tool deployment and management.


Production performance and KPIs

Deliver improved IWS training efficiencies, namely training matrices, integration of old with new working systems, audit & assessment results directly linked to IWS training and sufficient paperwork, Step Up Card tracking and support via the Papaya training system.

Responsible for tracking & monitoring all key IWS KPI’s across the site

Manufacturing support/representative for FMES/SFOL and it’s integration into the IWS ways of working.


Continuous Improvement.

Assist in the deployment and embedding of a range of continuous improvement and lean tools from the FI/WPI pillar (namely IPS/UPS & WPI) to deliver best in class operational excellence which can be measured through the performance of the factory and in line with the company’s ethos.


Environment

Optimise energy usage, looking at opportunities for energy reduction and carbon footprint reduction.

To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.


Requirements for the role:


  • Computer literate - Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel mastery skills.
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Training Co-ordination experience
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to liaise with varying colleagues at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Willing to undertake personal development training.
  • 3rd level education 
  • Previous experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment.


Desired experience:


  • Lean tool experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Food processing knowledge.
  • HACCP experience and or qualification.
  • IOSH qualification.
  • Previous experience of achievement in continuous improvement.
  • Change agent; ability to demonstrate a previous experience of delivering sustainable change initiatives and results.
